Raining today! All day. So I'm glad that Jan and I got out yesterday for such a good hike. We went to Oil Creek State Park and explored around the Cow Run Shelters area. The map given out by the park was not accurate but by hiking back and forth and covering all the roads and finding the trails we found a nice loop to hike in the future. It was one ( Read more... )

I woke up with a cluster headache and a numb right arm this morning but it was worth it. I started cleaning and fixing up the goatshed yesterday. I swept it, vacuumed it (brought over Dave's shopvac and 3 extension cords to reach it), and washed the furniture (a table and 4 wooden chairs). Yesterday we went over to see Johnny and Alison graduate from Clarion University. So there were many goodbyes. Goodbye to driving over to Clarion so often (though we will still probably meet with Chloe there sometimes since that is where she works) and goodbye to Johnny and Alison because they have gone to live in Reading now.

I don't think about holidays much. It's Mother's Day today. All I have to do is think about being on the receiving end of it, not the gift giving end since both Dave's mom and my mom are gone. Jules wanted to take me out for breakfast but I asked him if we could do a bike ride instead. We have been wanting to do one but haven't had a chance yet. ( Read more... )
